After extensive consultations with Broadcast right holders, SuperSport , Football Kenya Federation (FKF) through National Team Head coach Mr. Francis Kimanzi, Kenyan Premier League  has released the official 2012 fixtures.

According to the fixtures, the 2012 KPL season will kick off on February 11th. This will be preceded by 2012 SuperSport/DStv Cup match on 4th February between FKL Cup Champions Gor Mahia and  KPL Champions Tusker FC.The two sides will meet again three weeks later (27th Feb) in a KPL first leg fixture.

A match between defending Champions Tusker FC and City Stars at Nyayo Stadium will kick start the league at 2pm on February 11th.AFC Leopards will be in action against Chemelil at 4pm at same venue.Both matches will be live on SuperSport.

New League boys Muhoroni Youth will open their campaign against Western Stima. Gor Mahia will visit Thika Municipal Stadium on Sunday 12th Feb for a clash with the hosts Thika United in the only match to be aired live on SuperSport that day. Other matches to be played on the same date include Sofapaka vs Karuturi, Sony vs Mathare United,KCB vs Ulinzi and Rangers FC vs Oserian.

A week later (18th) Gor Mahia  and Tusker FC will not be in action due to international commitment.

The harmonized calendar had factored in match days for the National team and dates for FKF Cup competition.To avoid clash with the CECAFA 2012 tournament, the KPL will end earlier than usual.
